This Past weekend it was my friend Sharmin's Surprise Bridal shower!
A lot of thought and time had went into this with her sister, and I'm glad it turned out so amazing!
The fact that this is a desi wedding makes things so much better! Being on the bride and groom's side is going to extremely fun!
I believe a bridal shower sets the mood for the upcoming festivities for the bride, and her friends and family. We had a great time! Here are some snaps below from the day! Enjoy!
We will miss you Sharmin <3
This is THE perfect smokey eye for Beginners, Mom's on the go, and for someone who is just getting into makeup and would like to try the Naked Palette.
I'm using the naked 1 Palette along with some matte eye shadows from wet and wild. I have them for over two years and they are great because it's hard finding really nice pigmented eye shadows. I've only listed some products because My focus is more on the way you should do a smokey eye rather than what I'm using. But, if you have more questions on eyeshadow brushes etc. Please comment below!
Here are links where you can purchase them if you are interested. Also, The eye primer I have used is the Urban decay primer potion that comes with the Naked Palette.
1.Naked Palette
2.Wet and Wild (go to the local Walgreens/Cvs/Rite Aid/Drugstores)

Hi loves!
I've been trying to think about what to blog...but when I had came up with the idea I was a bit distracted with the magical moments I was having in life! I hope everyone had a good weekend! Starting Monday, I will be doing a small wedding series for my friend Sharmin's wedding. Everything head to toe about a bride and her journey through the wedding.(desi wedding) So excited to share my experience with you all!
Let's get to it!
So...I never really liked lipstick! Growing up I was into lipgloss and maybe when I was around 16 I realized "okay my lips look dark!" Eating broccoli helped but I still didn't like how my lips looked in pictures.
Growing up, I've seen my mom do make up on my sister a lot. I mean the whole nine yards, double triple eyeshadow(smokey eye) winged eyeliner, lined lips the whole va va voom! That is exactly how my sister and I got so involved in beauty! I have learned everything on my own and my makeup techniques and I'm very lucky to have that talent!
A few things about LIPS:
Do your lips get white and skinned inwards by the end of the night? or even a few hours in when you apply something on your lips?!
Take a wet end up a towel, lightly soak it and scrub your lips in a circular motion to get rid on the skin. Repeat this at least twice a day. You can also use a lip scrub but overtime that will cause more fine lines. Then apply Vaseline or chap stick afterwards, keep on till you are ready to apply color to the lips!
Scared of color?
I think everyone should be scared of color. Their are so many people out there that DO try color on their lips and it doesn't even look right. You have to know what color looks good on you. Do warm or cool tones look good on you?! all based on you're skin tone! That's KEY! Don't be scared to try color, but if you think it's to pale for you're skin tone and you look albino...which you probably do...add a sheer pink gloss on top to achieve the sultry nude look! AND/OR for a darker color like pinks purple's and reds, apply some shimmer or gloss on the cupids(top of lips under nose) and ONLY in the bottom lip in the middle. It will instantly make you're lips look a lot FULLER.
Here are some of my favorite lipsticks I have swatched for you, mix of matte, sheer, and shimmer lipsticks. If you scroll over the lipsticks name there will be a link that will take you to the product!
Ramble Update and Chit Chat-Weekly Hair and Makeup Routine (*With product list*)
Tuesday, April 23, 2013Hi my loves!
- Clean face-Exfoliate! Make sure all that dead skin is off before you moisturize, you will have dry patches after applying your makeup and your makeup will slip off.Click Here to see a video on how to exfoliate! This is good to do once-twice a week. I used to have very dry skin, now I think I have normal and combination skin.
- Moisturize- You moisturize after cleaning your face, apply a thick amount and let it settle in, don't rub it through all the way. In my blog Here you can find the face cream I recommend to use. I think when I was maybe about 13, my mom has always told my sister and I to use face cream and thankfully now my skin is amazing and very well taken care of. I do get breakouts, but not like I used to. One thing I have learned is not to pick at it. To be honest! I do skip Jamat khana the week my face is bad. It makes me uncomfortable!
- You can used a face primer next, I only use one on certain occasions. A primer is used so that your makeup does not "slip" off your face. I've had random times I've cried and when I dabbed my face I was happy to know my foundation did not transfer! ALSO amazing now that it's almost summer! Some primers I recommend
- Next I do Foundation and Concealer.
- Next is Eyes. I switch around eyeshadow palette that I use just so I don't have another palette screaming "I'm new and you don't use me and I have pretty colors" and yes I so believe my makeup talks to me! I do use a primer, click Here to see the list of Eye Primers.
- Most important step! If you have oily skin, and your going to do a routine for summer time...please use a powder on top! I'm only naming basic ones now, will mention high end ones in the wedding series** Whether it's mineral powder or compact powder. Pat it into your t-zone!
Hi Loves! Since it's spring time I know we will all be seeing a lot of color! BUT I'm one of those who stays in my comfort zone all year round. I own a lot of color but when I don't know what to wear, I usually go to my blacks, whites, grays, and nudes. It's just easier to pair everything up. Black and white is totally back in! But when was it ever back out?!
I think Black and White together can be such a nice casual look, or formal when pairing a blazer with what you are wearing. Tonight, I wore Liquid tights that were high waisted and it sucked everything in! We all want those don't we?!? And a Cream top with a Satin Black necktie with a bow. From the Kardashian Kollection! My sister actually accidentally left the top in there when we were packing, so I actually ended up wearing it! Evil laugh**
I have this new makeup trend now that it's hot outside! I wear super minimal foundation and not much concealer and just powder to stay a bit matte. I love doing eye makeup! I won't be doing much bottom makeup on my lower lash line anymore, it's seriously a pain to wash it off sometimes, and my eyeliner stays on for two days! Here are some pictures and the products I used are down below! And I will try giving links for all of them! Thank you! please leave feedback and commented below!

HAIR:
I switch a lot! right now I'm back on tresemme where as I do use mane n tail, or Big and sexy, or Ojon
I'm guilty, I don't use it as much as I should. but Tres.
Paddle brush, and big Boar haired round brush, as I have very big hair!
I've recently started using some only because the one time I colored my hair, it has changed the texture a bit. Def a heat protectant the Keratin smooth one from Tresemme, Sometimes I use a root Lifitng mousse, and that's about it! I only use hairspray if it's humid out. Not a big fan of it.
